Taiwan: When the Nightmares Stopped

The dreams scared Helen Yen (right). She dreamed of going somewhere and then realizing that she couldn’t find her way back home. The feeling of being lost frightened her night after night.

But things changed once she started volunteering at an Urban Center of Influence (UCI) in Taiwan. She heard that the nearby Adventist church was looking for volunteers for a new community outreach program, which offered classes on coping with Alzheimer’s disease, cooking healthfully, and exercising. As Helen began volunteering, she found fulfillment and joy. She soon started attending Bible classes and learned about the Sabbath for the first time.

“I felt something strange in my heart,” said Helen. “I couldn’t go on with the way I was living after discovering this new information.”

As a lifelong churchgoer, Helen decided to start worshipping at the Adventist church every Sabbath. Recently, she decided to be baptized! Now, her scary dreams have been laid to rest, and she has found her way back home to Jesus.

Thank you for supporting UCIs like this that win people for Christ’s kingdom! And please pray for many more people to be won all over the 10/40 Window.
