Middle East: Worth the Cost

I was tortured for 20 days. They wanted me to reject Christianity, but I wouldn’t do it. Although I wasn’t always a Christian, I grew up looking for God. I learned about Jesus from one of my neighbors who shared the Bible with me. Once I discovered the gospel, there was no way I could ever give it up.

Somehow, the government learned I was a Christian and captured me. They tortured me, demanding that I reject my newfound faith. But God protected me from the pain and gave me a peace I had never felt before. The government eventually released me, but knowing they ultimately planned to kill me, I fled the country with my family.

Now in our new home, I’ve dedicated my life to God’s work as a Global Mission pioneer. Every day, I meet with fellow refugees, studying the Bible together and sharing meals in my home. I know God spared my life because He planned for me to share the gospel message with the people I meet here.
