Joseph and Peninah were so excited!

Global Mission pioneer Julius had introduced them to Jesus, and they couldn’t wait to get baptized. But there was a problem. It hadn’t rained in while and there was not enough water for a baptism.

In central Kenya, it is so dry that people must dig and dig through the sand of a dry riverbed to get even a little water to drink. This makes baptisms a logistical challenge. New believers must wait until there is enough rain to fill a small pool or travel a great distance to another church, which is costly.

Julius felt called to minister in this remote village and develop real relationships with the people, in the same way Jesus did. Because of his witness, many have accepted Jesus as their Savior. They currently meet in a small, mud-walled building.

Nearly a year later, Joseph and Peninah are still trusting God and waiting patiently until the day they can get baptized. Please pray for continued strength and courage for them and Julius. Because of your support, God is able to do wonderful things in Kenya!
