Emma, who is almost 5, enjoys her time playing on the Taiwan Adventist College campus, but her parents worry about finding a school that teaches Adventist values. They hope to start a new elementary school where kids like Emma can learn about God and grow in faith.
Everything about the church was unusual and strange to Joon-woo. He didn’t understand many of the words that he heard from the Bible. He didn’t get along well with the other children. But because he wanted to study at the Adventist school, he came back to church the next Sabbath and then the next.
Hyun-hee’s mouth dropped open again. She had never heard people her age talk about God in such a personal way. She thought, “They’re young, but they have faith and believe in God. They love God despite the struggles in their lives.”
“The reason why I became a missionary is that, at the age of six, I was a homeless child,” she says. “I promised myself that no child should ever feel unwanted or unloved, so I dedicated myself to being a missionary.”
In Ansan, South Korea, the Hope 365 Center is a beacon of support for single mothers and their children. The center provides essential resources like shelter, food, and medical care. With the help of the community and donations, the facility is transforming lives and fostering a sense of family for those in need.
One day, Yeseo brought her own lunch again because the cafeteria was serving pork. The children looked at her strangely as usual, and several teased her. She explained again that she was a Seventh-day Adventist.
“The Bible is like a big ocean, and this is not the time to wait for the pastor to come and teach you,” he said. “I have lessons that you can study yourself to learn more about the Bible.”

Arctic Mission Adventure works to support remote areas in Alaska through outreach and evangelism. In the small village of Savoonga, the mission has made a positive impact by helping community members grow in their faith, resulting in significant baptisms and a stronger church presence.
The Institute of World Mission provides appropriate cross-cultural training for all missionaries. The Institute cooperates with a tentmaker program and further serves the church with consulting, training and strategic planning for the worldwide mission of the church.
The needs and challenges of the worldwide Adventist Church are great and varied. The need is for youth, and the young at heart, to respond to the call to share the good news of the gospel with those who need to hear it.
More than half the world's population will live in urban areas today. As the world's urban landscape changes, so will our approach to mission. The Adventist Church is committed to finding the best way to tell the world about Jesus.
