One of the things I admire most is a good idea. Sometimes they are really hard to find. It’s a good day when the perfect solution to your challenge pops into your head, but it doesn’t usually work that way.
I have learned that good ideas come faster after I’ve prayed about the situation. I can’t explain why I don’t do this every time, but can certainly attest that prayer makes a world of difference.
Maybe that’s why I am so impressed by people who pray for good ideas to solve daily challenges or plan for the future. And when God delivers, they don’t waste time. They set about putting those ideas into action.
I hope you’ll be inspired when you read about the congregation in São Paulo, Brazil, who prayed for good ideas on how to meet the needs of the people around them.
The next thing I knew, the door flew open, and I was staring down at a double-barreled sawed-off shotgun.
